Its been a long while since a post folks. Things are crazy and time is short, but were still having lots of fun! Here is my latest creation (actually I made it a few weeks ago, but hey you didn’t know that!)
He is a little plant dude called a Pea Shooter from a video game called Plant’s vs Zombies! Its a little tower defense-like game where you plant plants in your yard to ward of the imminent attacks of zombies! Apparently if there was a zombie apocalypse I would be just fine, my tomato plants would ward off any potential corpse-like threat.
He’s cute huh :D I used wool felt to sew him…he actually took a while because it was hard for me to try and figure out how to sew his head into that shape. I also used some wire to help his mouth stay round and his stem straight and leaves bendable. They are all sticking into a piece of floral foam I glued into the pot.
Here is a shot from the game :)
I want to try and make a few more and then also include some printed seed packets from the game with them as well. I wonder if I could sell these?

I bought a 10 gallon aquarium tank and some plexiglass and created divisions in the tank for each of my 3 remaining mantis. I layered the bottom with potting soil and taped in some fake plants I bought at Michaels. Unfortunately the plexiglass didn’t go high enough and the mantis could squeeze into eachothers division so I had to tape some paper up there to keep them separated. They eventually all molted and grew wings and it was fun to let them out and let them fly around the house. One day I cam home and Zorak has squeezed his way into the home of the smallest mantis and had consumed him. All that was left was a single claw and his wings.
After I ran out of crickets I decided to let them go. It was sad to see them leave, but I knew it had to be done. Unfortunately a few days later we caught our cat One eating a large mantis in the yard. I fear it was one of the two I just released. I did however see the other mantis still prowling around so hopefully he’ll hang around, but won’t be dumb enough to get eaten by the cats.
See ya, Zorak! Ya jerk.

I had the Cobra detailed today while I was at work and I was so impressed with the results I took some pictures. I installed the remaining LEDs behind the HVAC controls but in the process I managed to mangle the center control bezel pretty bad. It was already in terrible shape and some of the screw holes cracked through the plastic. I’ll be looking for a replacement over the next few days. I also switched out the headlights for the refinished OEM ones to determine if the light scattering is caused by the after market lenses. I can barley see at night the scattering is so bad. I’m thinking about replacing the stock stereo soon and fixing the tweeters on the Mach system. They still sound ok, but their age is definitely apparent.
Someone peeled the weather stripping off that corner light. It seems like everyone is out to get me these days.
You can see where some jack ass hit the back bumper and then obviously neglected to leave a note.
